From a finished thought to a posted letter

Prepare it on screen. Send it on paper.

IRIS prints and mails individual letters and postcards to US addresses. Use the website for a hands-on review, or connect your software to an approval-controlled mailing workflow.

The same mailing, two ways to prepare it

Choose the workflow that fits your task.

The website guides you through a single mailing. REST and authenticated MCP let your application prepare that mailing while keeping preview, review, and approval in your own process.

Prepare your content

On the website

Upload a finished letter PDF, start with a guided template, or personalize a postcard with artwork or your own photo.

With your application

Your application renders the final letter PDF or print-ready postcard files, then uploads and registers them. The API does not compose the letter or design the artwork.

Preview and review

On the website

Check the document preview or postcard faces, mailing details, selected options, and final price before checkout.

With your application

Your application shows the actual printable files and current quote to a person. It must enforce approval before allowing a paid submission.

Name both ends of the journey

On the website

A sender name and return address, plus a recipient name and delivery address, are required. Review them before paying.

With your application

Supply complete named sender and recipient addresses with each mailing. Missing required details must be corrected before the order can proceed.

Choose print and postal options

On the website

Review the letter print settings and available mailing services in checkout. Use the postcard editor for a full-color card with First-Class postage.

With your application

Request a quote for the supported product and options in the documentation. Availability is checked for the selected mailing before charging your account.

See the price before sending

On the website

Review the order total before completing payment through checkout. The pricing page and calculator help you compare your options first.

With your application

Request a server-calculated quote in US cents. Submission recalculates the price and uses prepaid credits; a quote neither reserves a price nor creates an order.

Follow the order

On the website

Keep your confirmation and order reference, then use the order page to check progress and any available postal events.

With your application

Save the returned order ID and read its current status. Your application handles follow-up; available tracking and estimated dates can be absent.

Printing and postal options

For letters, compare the available standard and Certified Mail options before ordering. If you need a return receipt, check that option and its purpose separately. Use the current price calculator to estimate your specific mailing.

Postcards use their own print format and First-Class postage. Keep sensitive information out of a postcard, because its message is visible during printing and delivery.

Order progress and postal events

Payment confirms an order. Printing, postal submission, and delivery are later stages; a paid order is not proof that the recipient has received the mailpiece.

Postal events depend on the product and service. Ordinary First-Class correspondence does not include the same USPS Tracking service as a tracked package. Available scans or estimated dates should not be treated as a delivery guarantee.

Check that your document is suitable.

IRIS is for printable, individual outbound correspondence to US addresses. It does not provide inbound mail scanning, package shipping, mailing-list campaigns, scheduling, or international delivery. Official forms may need an original signature or a different submission method; review their issuer instructions and our acceptable-use rules.

Pick the thing you want to send

Your next step is a document or a design.

A letter or completed document

Have your final PDF and both names and addresses ready. You will review your document, mailing options, and price before paying.
